Getting started
Create a first project from a description.
Describe the device
Open the workbench and describe what the device must do. State the board if you have one. If you name a board, HardwareOS uses it. Otherwise it chooses one and records the reason.
A servo that follows a potentiometer on an Arduino Uno.Review the plan
The assistant replies with a plan: requirements, the stack, the hardware, and the steps that remain for you. Open the plan to read it in full. Send another message to change it. The plan updates in place.
Create the project
Choose a level of detail, confirm the power arrangement when the plan asks for it, and select Create project. HardwareOS writes the files, assigns pins, and runs a build.
Build and deploy
- Open the Output panel and select Build. Builds run in the cloud and count against your plan's daily limit.
- Connect the board over USB.
- Select Deploy. In Chrome or Edge the workbench uploads to supported boards. Other browsers offer the desktop app.
Failed builds report the cause and a reference. Include the reference when you report a problem.
