Desktop app
Install, sign in, open projects and update.
Install

Download the installer from the Download page. macOS builds are signed and notarized. Linux is not available yet.
Sign in and open a project
Sign in with the account you use in the workbench. Projects saved to the account appear in the app. To continue a project from the browser, choose Open in app in the workbench. The browser saves the project to your account and the app opens it.
Toolchains
Builds in the desktop app run on your computer. The app installs the build tools it needs the first time you build.
The first build for a board platform downloads its compiler, which can take several minutes and several gigabytes of disk space.
Updates
Installed builds check for updates automatically. Open Settings, then Updates, to check now, choose whether updates download in the background, and restart to install. Release notes are on the Changelog page.
